Analyst for the thematic supervision of investment fund managers (m/f)

Mission

Your main responsibility is the off-site supervision of IFMs in relation to various themes, including DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act). You will be involved in the review of IFMs’ information systems and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) risk management frameworks. In addition, you will be required, from time to time, to work on other projects, particularly those arising from ESMA requests (e.g., in the context of Common Supervisory Actions or Peer Reviews).

Role & responsibilities

  • Management of projects initiated by the CSSF or ESMA as part of its thematic supervision, particularly with regard to IFMs’ compliance with DORA
  • Analysis of supervision topics to be covered and the relevant regulations
  • Participation in cross-functional working groups and project monitoring
  • Setup of surveys to collect information from IFMs
  • Definition of technical resources and contribution to IT developments for the large-scale deployment of supervision
  • Management of responses to weaknesses or problems identified (including letters, reports, enforcement procedures and cooperation between authorities)
  • Participation in international working groups related to these projects, where applicable

Your profile

  • A four-or five-year university degree (Master level) in Computer Science, Economics, Finance or Business Administration and Management
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in the field of UCIs and/or IFMs. Experience in ICT risks and/or DORA would be appreciated
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and German will be considered as an asset
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory and legal obligations that IFMs must adhere to
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent writing, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Communication skills
  • Proactive, flexible and keen to take initiatives

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
