Intern in supervision of financial, transversal and systemic risks for banks (m/f)

Mission

You will join the team responsible for analysing financial, transversal, and systemic risks for the banking sector in Luxembourg (e.g. credit risk, market risk). These analyses include both recurring tasks (monthly, semi-annual, and annual monitoring of certain risk exposures), stress tests, and more specific requests based on current developments, all within the general framework of prudential supervision.

Our goal is to introduce you to the field of prudential supervision and provide you with the opportunity to conduct quantitative data analysis. We aim to facilitate your future professional integration into the field of financial risk management related to the prudential supervision of the banking sector.

You will be supported by a dedicated professional tutor who will guide and advise you throughout your internship.

  • Assist in identifying, analysing, and monitoring activities and risks across the Luxembourg banking sector as a whole

Your profile

  • Student in the final year of university studies, working towards a Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, management, or a related field
  • Strong interest in finance, financial risk management, and quantitative approaches
  • Excellent written and oral proficiency in French, English, German, and Luxembourgish
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, R, or SQL is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills
  • Critical thinking, rigor, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
