Data Architect (m/f)
Mission
You will work as part of a team of data specialists to design, implement and manage the organisation’s data architecture.
The main objective is to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed and used effectively to make informed decisions and optimise business processes.
Role & responsibilities
- Designing scalable and flexible data architectures, by considering the current and future needs of the business. This includes modelling data, selecting appropriate technologies (databases, analysis tools, etc.) and implementing data flows
- Designing and implementing data integration solutions to bring together data from various sources (internal and external)
- Ensuring continuous improvement of the data recovery system to optimise data flows and guarantee optimum use of data
- Managing, administering and optimising databases and the infrastructures that host these databases; ensuring data consistency, quality and security
- Working closely with the data analysis teams to ensure that the data architecture supports the company's analytical needs
- Maintaining a technology watch to provide innovative solutions in line with the needs of the business
Your profile
- Minimum degree required: BAC + 3 or more in computer science (Bachelor or Master degree)
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Solid knowledge of information systems architecture, database administration (Microsoft SQL Server in particular), programming languages (Powershell, SQL language in particular) and BI tools (PowerBI, SSRS and SSIS), on Windows servers including clustering and monitoring of these systems
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, python, SPARK, Azure, DevOps release management and big data concepts are considered an advantage
- Ability to manage several projects at the same time, work under pressure, organize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams
- Proactive and methodical in the pursuit of high-quality, accurate, and actionable data
- A strong drive for continuous learning in the data domain
- Good writing, analytical and summarizing skills
- Written and spoken fluency in English and French. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and German will be considered as an asset
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
