Role & responsibilities

  • Define and improve the network and security architecture of the CSSF
  • Manage and implement network and security projects of the CSSF
  • Administrate on a daily basis the network and security equipments of the CSSF
  • Maintain, optimize and develop the network and security infrastructure of the CSSF
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and solve technical problems
  • Document the architectures and the solutions you implement
  • Maintain a technical awareness of products and standards of your expertise domain

Your profile

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) with an Information Technology specialization
  • A minimum professional experience of 4 years in network security field (installation, deployment, administration and maintenance of network and security solutions)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French and English. Luxembourgish and/or German will be considered as an asset
  • Excellent knowledges of Cisco LAN switches and Cisco Datacenter switches infrastructures and equipments
  • Excellent knowledges of Cisco Wireless infrastructures and equipments
  • Excellent knowledges of routing protocols
  • Excellent knowledges of network services and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, etc.)
  • Good knowledges of the following technologies: 802.1X, authentication servers (RADIUS, TACACS), NAC (Network Access Control), Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, VPN, IPS, Web proxies, Load Balancers, PKI, etc.
  • Good abilities to analyze and solve technical problems (Wireshark, Scripting, etc.)
  • A proven experience in network architecture (secure networks, high availability, etc.)
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions is considered as an asset
  • Knowledges of Cisco DNA, Cisco SDA and Cisco ACI are considered as assets
  • A proven experience in an Information Technology Services company is considered as an asset
  • Technical certifications in network and security solutions will be an advantage
  • Ability to propose pragmatic solutions
  • Rigorous and a structured approach
  • Good writing skills
  • Dynamic, proactive, motivated and able to provide a rigorous follow up
  • Organized and excellent abilities of collaboration and communication
  • Team spirit and ability to work in autonomy

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.

Next steps

  1. Our HR team will perform a pre-screening of all candidate files before transmitting applications to the respective hiring managers.
  2. Chosen candidates will be contacted for HR & business interviews, followed by a written test. At this point, we will also require a recent extract of your criminal record. Depending on the number of entries, the gravity of the offence(s) and the date of the conviction(s), a candidate may be excluded from the recruitment process.
  3. Following the interview process, the applications of selected candidates will be submitted to the head of department and/or a member from our board of directors for a potential additional interview.

For diplomas obtained outside of Luxembourg, Belgium or The Netherlands, we additionally require proof of their equivalence with national standards.
