Legal Officer (75 or 100%) (m/f)

Mission

The Enforcement Division of the MAF-I Department is looking to strengthen its team and recruit a Legal Officer (m/f).

Role & responsibilities

  • Participating in the controls of financial and non-financial information published by issuers of securities
  • Participating more generally in the other control missions of the department
  • Ensuring the legal follow-up of the decisions taken by the CSSF in relation to the missions of the department, also in the field of the approval of securities prospectuses
  • Handling legal issues related to the missions of the division and more generally of the department
  • Contributing to the development of the approach and the regulatory framework

Your profile

  • Four or five-year Master’s degree in Law, preferably in financial law or business law. Complementary training certificate in Luxembourg law is an advantage
  • Minimum professional experience of 5 years in the financial sector
  • Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework of the financial sector
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French, English. Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Critical thinking, good drafting, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Rigour and organisational skills
  • Flexibility and sense of initiative

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
