Experienced accountant (m/f)

Mission

You will be part of the team in charge of the CSSF’s “general accounting” and “management control” areas.

Role & responsibilities

  • Entering and monitoring accounting transactions
  • Entering month-end and year-end entries up to the balance sheet
  • Follow-up of client and supplier payment deadlines
  • Monitoring the CSSF's budget (checking budget commitments, controlling expenditure)
  • Planning and monitoring cash flows
  • Management of bank accounts and monitoring of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of payroll tax returns
  • Contact with external and internal contacts
  • Compliance with internal procedures and CSSF general guidelines
  • Participation in the development of analysis notes for the board of directors
  • Participation in the development of periodic and ad hoc reports
  • Preparation of year-end certificates (directors' fees or other types of remuneration)
  • Contribution to various projects related to the division and the department
  • Various administrative tasks related to the division

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) or Master's degree (BAC+5) in finance or management
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting
  • Proficiency in common office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the SAP accounting programme is an advantage
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered as an advantage
  • Sense of service and ability to listen
  • Discretion and accuracy in carrying out tasks

  • Ability to write and analyse
  • Ability to work as part of a team while being capable of working autonomously

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
