Mission

The mission of the “Regulatory Policy” division is to monitor the work on banking regulation at EU level, to coordinate all regulatory work of the European supervisory authorities at CSSF level and to support the adaption of the national regulatory framework. Within this division, your responsibilities include:

Role & responsibilities

  • Monitoring of regulatory developments
  • Contribution to the development of European banking legislation and regulation (EU directives, EU regulations, standards and guidelines) in particular at the level of the European Banking Authority (EBA)
  • Coordination and/or implementation of regulatory adaptations at national level in close cooperation with banking supervision departments
  • Drafting of opinions and analyses in regulatory matters
  • Contribution to the work and participation in meetings and working groups at the level of the competent European bodies (EBA/ECB), on national level as well as internally
  • Handling of issues of any kind in relation to the activity of the division

Please note that this position will require frequent business trips.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree (Bac +4/+5) in economics, finance, management, or law
  • Proven professional experience of at least 2 years within the financial sector
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework relating to banking supervision
  • Knowledge of the functioning of the EBA and/or the European system of financial supervision is considered an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral command of English and French; knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish is a real asset
  • Good writing and analytical skills. Ability to understand and synthesize complex issues
  • Availability for missions/meetings abroad
  • Good communication and ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good organizational skills and ready to take initiatives
  • Ability to work in a team as well as to work independently

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
