Role & responsibilities

  • Being in charge of the prudential supervision of a portfolio of investment firms holding different statuses;
  • Analyzing and monitoring legal reporting, reports of approved statutory auditors (réviseurs d’entreprises agréés), reports of internal control functions, ICAAP / ILAAP reports and other documents of supervised investment firms;
  • Assessing business models and risks of the supervised investment firms
  • Processing of all authorization requests from supervised investment firms as well as requests for approval to become an investment firm
  • Participating in on-site inspections at supervised investment firms and drafting of the reports relating to these missions
  • Participating in meetings with the management bodies, heads of internal control functions or other stakeholders (lawyers, external auditors, other competent authorities, etc.) of the supervised investment firms. Drafting and following-up the minutes of these meetings
  • Possibly participating in internal and / or international working groups
  • Participating in the development of supervisory approaches and the regulatory framework
  • Monitoring of regulatory developments regarding investment firms
  • Analyzing various questions and drafting opinions and letters

Your profile

  • Master's degree (Bac +4 / Bac +5) in Economics, Finance, Management or Law (preferably in financial law)
  • Proven professional experience in the field of audit or internal control of entities of the financial sector or having obtained the certificate of additional training in Luxembourg law (Cours complémentaires en droit luxembourgeois (CCDL)), will be considered as an advantage, as well as a MiFID II certification
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory framework of investment firms (laws, CSSF regulations and circulars, European directives and regulations)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French, German, English and Luxembourgish
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Critical thinking, good analytical and synthesis skills
  • Very good organizational and monitoring skills, rigor and ability to work autonomously

The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).

Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
