Mission
In the context of its prudential supervision duties, the SSM Authorizations division is seeking to recruit at the level of its ” AGREMENTS, SURVEILLANCE LBC/FT & SSM COORDINATION (ASC)” department an Economist / Lawyer
Role & responsibilities
- Assessment of fit and proper applications of directors in their executive and supervisory (non-executive) functions for significant banks
- Assessment of banking license applications and acquisitions of qualifying holdings in credit institutions
- Assessment of withdrawals (voluntary & involuntary) and lapsing of authorisations
- Representation of the CSSF in European Central Bank & European Banking Authority committees and working groups
- Depending on the needs of the ASC department, the agent may also be assigned to any other task within the department
Your profile
- University degree (Bac +4/+5) in economics, finance or law with a specialization in banking, financial or business law
- Professional experience of at least 5 years in the financial/banking field
- A very good oral and written command of English and French is essential. Fluency in the German language is a considerable advantage
- Easy oral communication and analytical and writing skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Flexibility and sense of initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Availability to make service trips abroad
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
